TEACHING ON PATREON
As a fulltime artist, part of my job is to teach and guide other likeminded artists the complexity of coloured pencils, using everything I’ve learnt over the years to help take their drawing skills to the next level. I use online teaching platforms, such as Patreon and YouTube, to share professional coloured pencil techniques through a range of tutorials, creative business guidance to help turn a hobby into a career, vlogs, top tips and 1 to 1 critiques. Patreon is a paid subscription based platform, which you can cancel at any time.

BEGINNER TUTORIALS, FOCUS TUTORIALS & BEHIND-THE-SCENES
On my Patreon, you can join one of three Tiers, all specifically designed to suit different abilities. Tier 1 is aimed at beginner artists, who want to learn the basics of coloured pencils and learn some easier techniques, through focus tutorials. The focus tutorials are small studies of animal eyes, noses, ears, fur types, and whiskers etc., aimed to build up confidence through smaller studies before attempting a full portrait. Through my Patreon, you will gain exclusive access to behind-the-scenes work, including a first look at what I’m working on and art studio tours.
MATERIALS VIDEOS
Along with the previous content, Tier 2 will give you access to an extra focus tutorial per month, along with a materials video, where I try a range of tools, surfaces, pencils and more, giving my honest opinions and reviews. I occasionally sway to more business or technique based videos, like how to set up and run an Etsy shop and how to choose initial base layer colours.
IN-DEPTH TUTORIALS, 1 TO 1 CRITIQUE & ART BUSINESS TIPS BLOGS
Tier 3 is the top tier on my Patreon where you can gain exclusive access to ALL of my content each month. Along with everything else, you will gain access to one in-depth start to finish tutorial each month, where I complete an entire portrait, breaking the tutorial down into different parts so you can complete it in stages. Each month, I write an art business tips blog, discussing various aspects of starting, running and developing a creative business, sharing what I’ve learned over the years. I also offer 1 to 1 critique and feedback on a more personal basis, should patrons wish to send me their work. Whether that is work from my tutorials, or their own work, I give my professional guidance, advising any areas of improvement and particular strengths to help them develop and build on their understanding of drawing, coloured pencils and areas of business.
